Ravichandran http://www.authenticbostonredsox.com/Babe-Ruth-Jersey Ashwin (1/49 in 18 overs) was economical and Abhinav Mukund's alertness in the field contributed to a run-out.
The Lankan slide started with opener Dimuth Karunaratne (2) being trapped leg before by Yadav in the second over of the Lankan innings and the batsman wasted a DRS review in a bid to reverse the decision. The Indian team upped the ante in the final session where they got four wickets. Post tea break, Shami got the reward for hitting the right length. First Shami accounted for Danushka Gunathilaka (16) in the 15th over and then four balls later, he got rid of Kusal Mendis (0), with both batsmen caught at first slip by Shikhar Dhawan.
Veteran opener Upul Tharanga (64 runs, 93 balls, 10 fours) stroked his way to an attacking eighth Test half-century. • BCCI Adopts Lodha Reforms PartiallyDateWed Jul 26, 2017 9:52 pm

The reforms that have not been implemented are one state one vote, the size of the national selection panel, the size of the apex council while the last one covers age cap and tenure of office-bearers.
The BCCI adopted Lodha panel reforms partially, rejecting all major recommendations on good governance including age cap, tenure and cooling-off period at its Special General Meeting on Wednesday. Having got a shot in the arm from Supreme Court, which has agreed to Authentic Anders Lee Womens Jersey hear the "practical difficulties" on August 18, BCCI did not implement the controversial reforms on age cap (70 years), cooling off (3 years) and tenure (9 years each at state and BCCI). Not accepting what was termed by Lodha Panel as principles of good governance is an indication that old guards Niranjan Shah and N Srinivasan manage to stay relevant despite disqualification.
BCCI acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary today said that they have unanimously adopted all but five reforms as per Supreme Court verdict on July 18, 2016.
The five reforms cover: 1. Matters pertaining to membership, one state one vote, retention of full members, Railways, Services etc. 2. Definition of powers of appointed executives. 3. Size and constitution of apex council. 4. Restriction and http://www.officialislandersproshop.com/Anthony_Beauvillier_Jersey disqualification of office bearers and ministers and government officials, age, tenure and cooling off period. 5. Size of national selection committee.
Choudhary only explained why the disqualification of government employees and ministers was kept among their reservations.
"If we want Railways or Services to retain full membership (voting) rights, then they can only be represented by either a government employee or a minister," he said.
On the size of proposed Apex Council, Choudhary said that "Currently, it's proposed size is five members. It has only one vice-president and members are of the opinion that it is smaller in size considering the length and breadth of country."
Choudhary said that they are still in process of sorting out Conflict of Interest clause as there are a few objections from members.
The BCCI has also shortlisted a panel of names for role of Ombudsman.
    BCCI CEO barred from meeting
Adhering strictly to the top court's diktat of letting in only office-bearers, the BCCI did not allow its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rahul Johri to attend the meeting.
Along with Johri, the representatives Odisha and Punjab were Iman Shumpert Youth Jersey debarred from the meeting as the representatives were not office-bearers.
As per the SC order, the ones eligible are president, vice president, secretary, joint/assistant Secretary and treasurer.
It was learnt that Johri was told by Amitabh Choudhary that he along with all other BCCI employees should leave the meeting premises as SC order of July 24 states that only office-bearers should be attending the meeting.
While it is not a rule but a convention, a team of BCCI employees are always available for secretarial help during these meetings but a wary BCCI went straight by the book.
"Johri is not an office bearer but a salaried employee of BCCI. While he attended http://www.cavaliersproshop.com/Channing_Frye_Jersey all previous SGMs, we can't take a chance this time as we have to honour SC order in letter and spirit. All employees were told by acting secretary that they have to leave the room," a state unit representative, who did not wish to be named, told PTI.
It was learnt that Choudhary personally checked all the letters of authorization brought by representatives so that there is no violation of apex court's order.

Tim Tebow, it turns out, can play a little. This probably comes as a surprise to you, because it almost certainly comes as a surprise to the Mets. The only people this doesn’t surprise, in truth, are those Tebow acolytes willing to believe he’s capable of Aqib Talib Jersey just about anything.
It was 12 days ago that Sandy Alderson tried to throw cold water on the notion the Mets were pondering Tebow as a call-up after Sept. 1, when rosters can expand from 25 to 40.
“Never crossed my mind until about 10 days ago, when somebody said it was likely to happen,” Alderson http://www.officialauthenticbroncostore.com/Nike-Andy-Janovich-Jersey.html said then. “I don’t foresee that kind of scenario.”
Of course, it was 12 days before that when Alderson offered the least-surprising Tebow observation ever uttered by a member of Mets brass when he’d said: “Look, we signed him because he is a good guy, partly because of his celebrity, partly because this is an entertainment business. My attitude is, ‘Why not?’
There are plenty of sound business reasons why it would have been wise anyway to keep Tebow away from Citi Field as some kind of marketing ploy, beginning with the very credibility of the franchise, which is supposed to be in the business of developing baseball players, not carnival barkers.
But now the Mets have the best reason of all to forget about that.
What if Tebow really is what these last 27 games and 87 at-bats have hinted at? In the Florida State League, the most advanced level of Single-A ball, he has hit .299 with an eye-raising OPS of .907. To find a higher number than that on the St. Lucie Mets’ roster, you stop at Alan Trammell Womens Jersey names like Conforto and Flores and Lagares and Duda, members of the varsity Mets who made brief rehab appearances at Port St. Lucie.
Look, the odds remain heavily stacked against Tebow, who at age 29 is still three steep steps away from the majors. But this is also true: there was no way to foresee even these past 27 games and 87 at-bats, heading into Wednesday’s game against Bradenton. And what he has done is raise the possibility — however remote it may still seem — that he really might be a player, and not just a jersey.
All Tebow. All the time. Maybe Alderson was serious, and maybe the plan was to keep Citi spared of all that this September. But it would have been tempting. Now? You wouldn’t ever expose a real prospect to that kind of ridicule. And amazing as this http://www.authentictigershop.com/authentic-19-anibal-sanchez-jersey.html sentence is to contemplate, it’s even more astonishing to write: It’s right to treat Tim Tebow like a real prospect, because he just might be one.

  • Do not question England’s fight or desireDateTue Jul 25, 2017 7:22 pm

Ben Stokes has called on England to eradicate the inconsistency that has dogged their Test cricket but insisted Pirates Womens Jersey their desire to win must not be called into question.
While English cricket is still basking in the success of the women’s team lifting the World Cup at Lord’s on Sunday, attention will soon switch to the men when they resume hostilities with South Africa in the third Test at The Oval.
Joe Root’s side are looking to recover from the heavy loss at Trent Bridge that attracted a raft of criticism – not least in the direction of the batsmen – and once again highlighted the fragility of a side that has now followed their last three victories with defeat and sees the http://www.officialpiratesproshop.com four-match Investec series locked at one apiece with two to play.
Stokes, Root’s vice-captain, said: “It is frustrating. We don’t quite know what it is but if we can go forward and eradicate that we will be in a better position. We know how good we are at bouncing back but it is a huge two games coming up, especially this one.”
Asked whether the outcry that followed Nottingham went too far, Stokes replied: “I think it was. For anyone to question our fight or desire I think is wrong. They should know how much it means to play for England – how much to wear the Three Lions on your chest. We have to take criticism on performances which we are understanding of, but [questioning our] desire is too much.”
Quite who Stokes was specifically aiming these words at is hard to pin down – application with the bat, rather than a lack of passion, was the general diagnosis – but clearly England, who will give a debut to Tom Westley at No3 this week, are in the mood to right a few wrongs.
It would certainly continue the positivity that followed Heather Knight’s women’s side beating India in dramatic fashion on Sunday, something Stokes, the Nat Sciver of the men’s game, believes can be a source of inspiration. He said: “What they managed to achieve was amazing. To do it at home and at Lord’s as well just shows how far the women’s side has come. They’ve obviously been a huge driving force in getting younger women into the sport too. We couldn’t be more happy for them. We’ve got competitions coming up as well and we hope we can perform as well as they did.”
England’s assistant coach, Paul Farbrace, was briefly in charge of the women’s national team in 2000 and credited the win to both the character of the current generation and the bold decision taken by Mark Robinson last year to move on from their record run-scorer, Charlotte Edwards.
“It was brilliant, not just for the girls who played but for all the kids coming through,” said Farbrace. “The fact that India got to the final can only be good for women’s cricket in that country. To win it at home, having lost the first game Alexander Nylander Authentic Jersey against India, under a lot of pressure, shows a lot of character and a lot of skill. For Robbo to have made the change with Lottie, that was a big decision and so far it has proved the right thing to do.”
The success of the women’s World Cup as a whole has given an added layer of impetus to cricket’s bid for inclusion in the Olympic roster too, with the International Cricket Council currently considering an application to feature in the 2024 and 2028 games – the host cities for which will be announced in September.
Stokes, who will be 33 by the time the first of those comes around, said: “You look at the golf in the Olympics, that obviously caught the imagination of everyone – it was just as exciting as watching the Open or the Masters. I don’t know if it is going to happen but if it does it would be amazing to represent your country at the Olympics.”
Farbrace, in keeping with a more progressive attitude towards the concept of Olympic cricket in the English game of late, added: “I don’t know how they would do it but anything that gets cricket played around the world and more http://www.authenticsabresprostore.com/authentic-70-alexander-nylander-jersey.html exposure has to be a good thing.”

  • Chance Of Playing, Says Virat KohliDateTue Jul 25, 2017 7:00 pm

Kohli hinted that Pandya may get his maiden Test cap against Sri Lanka on Thursday as he chose to underline the all-rounder's wicket-taking ability on all kind of tracks.
India had lost to Sri Lanka at Galle during the 2015 series when Kohli went in with a combination of five specialist Andre Branch Womens Jersey bowlers with a batsman short in the playing XI.
However, the presence of Pandya, who bowls fast medium close to 140 km per hour and is a capable batsman, provides Kohli with the balance that he seeks.
"Last time, we felt we probably were a batsman short and the fifth bowler did not do much in the game. We have those options again, but we have great balance in the side as well. We have got a guy like Hardik Pandya, who is a wicket-taking bowler.
"Every game that he plays, on any surface, he has a knack of picking wickets. He has a great chance of playing as well," Kohli explained.
He referred to how Stuart Binny's small contributions became important in next two Tests that India http://www.dolphinsshopnfl.com/Authentic-Andre-Branch-Jersey won in 2015. "In the next two Tests on that 2015 tour, we played an all-rounder (Binny) and that made all the difference. The extra batsmen would give us more solidity. We have taken learning from that and we will surely apply those straightaway in the series instead of getting a feel of how things will go. You need to have your best strike bowlers in order to pick up 20 wickets."
Kohli reckoned that the Galle International Stadium pitch would be good to bat on.
India are set to play three Test matches against Sri Lanka in their turf and so far they seem to be in the better situation, although they have lost their regular opener KL Rahul. Sri Lanka, without the services of Dinesh Chandimal, will have to get their act together with Rangana Herath at the helm of affairs. India captain Virat Kohli has always preferred to go in with five bowlers and with Hardik Pandya in the side, India can afford to that without playing a batsman short in the Test match. With Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja doing well in the home season, it is more than likely that the visitors will probably drop a seamer and try and fit in Pandya in the line-up.
"There is a good grass covering and we expect it to be a good batting wicket. It was rolled yesterday (on Monday) and I am sure today (Tuesday), it would have been rolled in very nicely as well. And underneath the surface, it looks very hard. There is grass covering on it to keep the surface bound up and it should be a very good batting track," the Indian skipper observed.
In absence of Rahul, who is down with viral fever, Shikhar Dhawan will open the innings with Abhinav Mukund.
Kohli had words of encouragement for Rahul, who is just coming back after a shoulder surgery.
"It is difficult to keep the players positive when they are injured. I have also been 49ers Authentic Jersey injured recently and it's a not a nice feeling. The only thing you can do is to accept the reality and know what needs to be done. There is not much you can do apart from doing rehab and all those sort of things.
"This (viral fever) is not an injury (for Rahul) and I am sure he is not that disappointed. He has had a major surgery and he has been able to come back. So three-four days more will not make a difference to him because he batted well really in the practice game and he is really looking forward to step back on to the field," he added.
Talking about Sri Lankan attack, the discussions veered towards veteran left-arm http://www.49ersofficialsproshop.com spinner Rangana Herath.
"He (Herath) is a quality bowler. Last time, he really dented us in that small chase. It's something that actually was a great eye opener for us. We worked on those things in the next two games and we were able to win the series. He played both the games and the ball was still doing a bit.
"I think our batsmen came up with the goods and they had the counter plans in place. So we understand what he brings to the table and understand what needs to be done," the skipper concluded.

Peaty won Britain’s first gold medal of the Rio Olympics, 1.5sec ahead of his nearest rival. But the 22-year-old Uttoxeter swimmer is determined to build on that performance. His long-term goal is ‘Project 56’, clocking under 57sec, and another gold at the Alexander Edler Womens Jersey Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Peaty clocked 56.59sec in claiming medley relay silver in Rio, but relay takeovers result in faster times.

Yet he was thrilled to win by a handsome margin from Kevin Cordes of the United States, who finished in 58.79sec. Bronze went to Kirill Prigoda of Russia in 59.05, while Britain’s Ross Murdoch was eighth in 59.45.
“I went out there with a lot of guts tonight,” said Peaty, who is now A.Q. If you want to go 56, you’re going to have to do stuff you’ve never done before and I was out in a 26.5 – that was very, very easy. It’s great to find areas where I can improve and that was the turn tonight.”
The Olympic champion Adam Peaty claimed an expected title before proving the inspiration for his Great Britain team-mate Ben Proud to secure a surprise gold medal at the world championships in Budapest on Monday night.
Peaty bettered his own championship record to finish in 57.47sec but his own world record of 57.13, set last August in winning Olympic gold in Rio, was beyond him.

This was India's second essay into the Ben Smith Authentic Jersey Women's World Cup final, the first having come in 2005. However, their attempt this time around was way better. India captain Mithali admitted that the team caved in under pressure in a tense run chase but said they will walk out as a proud bunch.
"Yes, I'm proud of the team. It wasn't easy for England but credit to them for keeping their nerves. There was a time where the match was in the balance, but we panicked and that led to our defeat," Mithali said after the match.
"I'm very proud of the girls. They didn't make any match look easy for the other team. We did very http://www.officialcoloradoavalanche.com/Adidas-Andreas-Martinsen-Jersey well in the tournament. All the youngsters in the team tried their best," she added.
Asked about her future, she said, "I will definitely play for a couple of years more, but I don't see myself playing the next World Cup."
On Jhulan Goswami, who took three wickets to restrict England to 228 for 7, she said, "Jhulan is an experienced bowler and has always delivered when the team has needed her to. It could've been a match-winning performance, but I knew England have depth.
"Thank you to the crowd for turning up for a women's cricket final. This is a huge boost for all the Bryan Trottier Womens Jersey women cricketers. I'm sure this experience will help the players.
"Now, people back home will have a different perspective about women's cricket," she added.
England were ecstatic after winning their fourth World Cup. Captain Heather Knight's side were beaten by India in the first game of the tournament, but steadily improved to top the eight-team group, including beating defending champions Australia.
After the match, Knight said she "can't stop smiling".
"We knew that if we stayed on till the end and brought the rate up over five or six an over, we would be in the game," an elated Knight said.
"We have won those tight games which is something we have worked on in the last 18 months. We have http://www.officialpittsburghpenguins.com/Adidas-Bryan-Rust-Jersey worked on situations where the heat is on us and looked to come up on top."
The home skipper did not forget to praise gritty Indians. "They were batting brilliantly, credit to them, they've had a great tournament.
"A huge thank you to the crowds as well for coming up in large numbers and supporting us. Women's cricket keeps Carl Soderberg Jersey growing from strength to strength and all teams have shown that," she concluded.

It actually felt like a moral victory here at Citi Field. A dignified death at home, preceded by so much chaos and unintentional comedy.
The Mets failed to sweep the lowly A’s on Sunday afternoon, falling short by a 3-2 score, and then they boarded a flight to San Diego, where they’ll kick off a 10-game trip Monday night. They knew darn well, as they packed their stuff, that this team will look Alexander Mogilny Jersey markedly different for its next home game, Aug. 4 against the Dodgers.
That should be Amed Rosario’s Citi Field debut, assuming the poor guy can get his act together over the next week after stomach problems and a bruised right index finger have kept him off the field for Triple-A Las Vegas. At a minimum, Addison Reed and Asdrubal Cabrera should be ex-Mets, with Lucas Duda, Jay Bruce, Curtis Granderson and the rehabilitating Neil Walker (in that order, I’d handicap it) possibilities to join them. Once Duda’s departure frees up first base, Dominic Smith will be ready to step in his place.
“We knew what situation we were in,” Bruce said Sunday. “We knew what we were up against. We’ve played http://www.officialvancouvercanucks.com/Adidas-Alex-Burrows-Jersey better baseball of late, but I’m not really able to say yet whether that’s going to be enough or not.”
Sandy Alderson said on July 14, hours before this homestand’s opener, that the Mets would need to play “exceedingly well” in order to shift the front office’s stance from sellers to buyers. Sunday’s loss tagged them with a 6-4 mark, with series victories over Oakland and the Rockies and a four-game split with the Cardinals.
So count on Reed, the guy likely to get the biggest return, to go by the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline. Cabrera, despite saying, “I hope [I’m]” still a Met upon the team’s return home, has to know in his veteran heart that he’s a goner. A crowded scout area here Sunday featured eyes and ears from the Diamondbacks, Red Sox, Indians, Dodgers, Mariners and Yankees; the Dodgers and Red Sox make plenty of sense as a landing spot for Reed, and the Sawx, Cleveland and Seattle all could use Cabrera to upgrade their infields.
None of these trades will bring back the sort of talent to energize a fan base, as Gleyber Torres and Clint Frazier did for the Yankees universe a year ago. This will not be a satisfying week for Mets fans in that vein.
The satisfaction, the Mets hope, that will keep this team above its 1992 and 2002 ancestors on the “all-time disappointing Mets teams” lists, will be Rosario and, to a lesser degree, Smith. Rosario, who missed a sixth straight game for Las Vegas on Sunday yet intends to return to action shortly, will bring athleticism, excitement and optimism if all goes well. He’ll allow Mets fans to dream of a 2018 with him Andrew Luck Jersey leading off for a lineup featuring Yoenis Cespedes, Michael Conforto and Smith — and perhaps Wilmer Flores and T.J. Rivera, with Jose Reyes playing a blend of Ben Zobrist and Yoda.
That vision awaits the Mets. For now, “Certainly the next week’s going to be hard,” Collins said. “I will do the best I can to try to keep their mind on the game and [not] worry who the trading talks are about.”
The Mets dropped to 2-7 in Sunday afternoon home games, yet this marked the only one of those seven losses in which they kept the game remotely close. Rafael Montero pitched respectably, offering another signal that he might actually http://www.indianapoliscoltsauthorizedstore.com/al-woods-jersey have value moving forward.
Now, the whole organization moves forward. Even as it’s almost certainly too late to achieve the top goal of 2017, it’s not too late to make something of this season. You didn’t want to see such an ambitious club enter Phase 2. But it’ll be here when the Mets return home.

It is the women who know how to enthral. After two riveting World Cup semi?finals elsewhere here was a final that had a capacity crowd nervously glued to their seats one moment, then leaping out of them in delight yet still never knowing which side would prevail until the final ball was bowled. Somehow the men’s games this summer have been Avalanche Authentic Jersey disappointingly one-sided by comparison.
This was not the decorous Lord’s of seasons past. The fans were chanting and gasping at every twist and turn. In the final overs each ball provoked raucous cheers from one set of fans or the other. Brilliant run-outs, scrambled http://www.officialcoloradoavalanche.com/Adidas-Adam-Foote-Jersey singles, desperate dropped catches and then at the end – just as in the semi-final at Bristol – Anya Shrubsole was engulfed by team?mates, exhausted not so much by the demands of the game but by the tension of a magnificent final. One-day cricket is a wonderful game when the outcome seems all-important.
Soon Eileen Ash (née Whelan) who made her debut for England against Australia at Northampton in 1937, rang the bell in front of the bowler’s bar. At the age of 105 she did so with a vigour that rivalled the efforts of Henry Blofeld during the Test match against South Africa. Apparently she puts her longevity down to a combination of yoga and wine, a regime that Blofeld half understands.
Goswami was inspirational in the field for India. She is one of the two vastly experienced cornerstones of the Indian side along with the captain, Mithali Raj. Both of them played in India’s previous World Cup final in Pretoria in 2005; both are 34 and playing in their last World Cup. How close they came to that trophy.
Goswami could not have bowled better. Raj, who made her debut for India in 1999, was run out by a slick piece of fielding by Nat Sciver. She seemed not to recognise the danger; there was no last-minute acceleration and certainly no dive. Maybe no one fielded with such athleticism when she started playing the game.
Even in defeat India’s performances may change how women’s cricket is viewed in their country. World Cup finals involving India tend to do that. In 1983 there was no real enthusiasm for one-day cricket in India, whereupon Kapil Dev’s side, against the odds, defeated the mighty West Indies in the World Cup final at Lord’s. Suddenly Kapil was king and the entire country was enchanted by the one-day game.
Likewise in 2007 they were a bit sniffy about this newfangled Twenty20 idea until one September Bryan Trottier Authentic Jersey night in Johannesburg, when India defeated Pakistan in the first World Twenty20 final, after which the game would never be the same again.
Somehow one senses this World Cup final at Lord’s on Sunday, which prompted a massive TV audience in India, will also have major ramifications. Anyone fancy a women’s Indian Premier League?
At Bristol against South Africa Shrubsole faced one ball and hit it for four just when England appeared to be making a mess of a straightforward run chase – except that there is no such thing in a semi-final. Here England were struggling in the field http://www.officialpittsburghpenguins.com/Adidas-Bryan-Trottier-Jersey with India bang on target. In their 42nd over they were 191 for three, needing only 38 more for victory.
Heyhoe Flint, a wonderful pioneer who died in January, was honoured before the start of a match that already felt like a celebration and a major landmark of the women’s game. Clare Connor, the head of women’s cricket at the England and Wales Cricket Board, joked as she looked out at the stands filling up, that “my work is done”. In fact she never rests.

Then the ball was tossed to Shrubsole of Somerset, known as the quickest bowler born in the north of the county – especially when Peter Trego is in earshot – and somehow she tinkered with fate. The dismissal of Poonam Raut, who had batted with such polish and poise for her 86, prompted the first signs of panic among the chasers.
Then there was a certain magic about every Shrubsole delivery, partly because just about all of them had that special quality; they were straight. She yorked the vastly experienced Jhulan Goswami first ball but perhaps her best delivery was her last. Her opponent was not the most formidable – Rajeshwar Gayakwad is not the best of batters. But consider the previous delivery: a gentle catch to mid-off from the A.Q. Shipley Womens Jersey bat of Poonam Yadav would surely seal it for England but Jenny Gunn, renowned for her reliability, dropped it.
How easy to despair and lose concentration after such an error. But Shrubsole remained icily cool – at least on the outside. The next delivery had that deadly quality again; it was on target. The bails lit up and the celebrations could commence. Shrubsole with six for 46 was the player of a breathtaking match.
This was one of the great Lord’s finals and there was a buzz around St John’s Wood before a ball was bowled. Usain Bolt produced his season’s-best time in the 100m to canter away with the Monaco Diamond League and suggest Al Woods Jersey he will again be the man to beat going into a major championships.
The Jamaican’s time of 9.95sec will not necessarily have his rivals at next month’s world championships in London trembling but the way he did it, recovering from a typically sluggish start before easing to victory without undue stress or effort, suggests there is a fair bit more in the tank.
Certainly Bolt was an athlete transformed from his poor run in Ostrava last month, when he hobbled through the line in 10.06. He promised his traditional summer time visit to the German doctor Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt, who uses unconventional techniques such as http://www.indianapoliscoltsauthorizedstore.com/andrew-luck-jersey injecting calves’ blood and using extracts from crests of cockerels into his patients, would fix his back problems. On this evidence there is nothing to suggest otherwise. Once Bolt made his move after 50m there was going to be only one winner.
The American Isiah Young was second in 9.98, with the South African Akani Simbine third in 10.02 – the same time as Britain’s CJ Ujah fourth in the same time.
Britain’s Laura Muir suggested she is fully recovered from a stress fracture in her foot sustained earlier this summer as she ran a personal best of 8min 30.64sec to finish third in the 3,000m behind Hellen Obiri, who obliterated the field to win in 8.23.15.
After the first kilometre Muir was in a group of six athletes who had surged clear of the rest of the field. She decided not to go with Obiri, who had beaten her over a mile in the Anniversary Games earlier this month, and was content to come home in third. Muir said: “The race was fast. I’ve done my outdoor personal best so that’s great. In London I’ll double up in the 1500m and 5,000m.”
Muir’s fellow Scot Eilish McColgan produced the performance of her life to come Alfred Blue Authentic Jersey fourth in 8.31.39 – not only a personal best by 10 seconds but the first time she has bettered her mother Liz’s personal best.
Another Briton, Dina Asher-Smith, made an encouraging step forward in her return from a broken foot as she finished third in the women’s 200m. The 21-year-old, who was fifth at last year’s Olympics, was able to begin sprinting again only last month but a season’s best of 22.89sec suggested she is making rapid progress. However she was a long way behind the Ivory Coast athlete Marie-Josée Ta Lou, whose run of 22.25, suggested she will be among the medal mix come the world championships.
The 400m world record holder Wayde van Niekerk threw up after straining to beat Isaac http://www.houstontexansauthorizedstore.com/akeem-dent-jersey Makwala. The South African was neck and neck with his rival down the home straight before coming through to win in 43.73 sec, ahead of the Botswanian who ran 43.84.
Another South African, Caster Semenya, also had a tougher race than expected before winning the 800m in 1.55.27, the fastest time of the year. Francine Niyonsaba set a Burundi national record of 1.55.47 in second place with Anjee Wilson, breaking the US record in 1.55.61. The Dutch athlete Sifan Hassan, who will be one of Muir’s main rivals over 1500m at the world championships, set a big personal best of 1.56.81 to come fourth while Britain’s Lynsey Sharp was sixth in 1.58.01.
In the men’s 1500m GB’s Chris O’Hare ran 3:33.61 to break the Scottish record that had stood since 1979.

Indian spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja ran through the Sri Lanka Board's President XI batting before opener KL Rahul made a solid return from injury on the opening day of the two-day warm-up tie, on Friday. The home team was comfortably placed at 139 for one, thanks to the second wicket stand from opener Danushka Gunathilaka and Lahiru Thirimanne before collapsing to 187 all out. The match situation changed Bobby Orr Jersey Jersey drastically after Thirimanne's fall in the 38th over with the next nine batsmen adding 48 to the total in the innings lasting 55.5 overs. All eight bowlers in the Indian squad had a go with chinaman Kuldeep and Jadeja standing out.
India got to bat for 30 overs, scoring 135 for three with opener Abhinav Mukund and Cheteshwar Pujara falling cheaply.
KL Rahul, returning to competitive cricket after a three-month injury lay-off, made a fine 54 off 58 balls including seven fours.
Virat Kohli too got to spend some time in the middle. He scored 34 off 46 balls and shared an http://www.officialbostonbruins.com unbeaten 43-run stand with Ajinkya Rahane (30 unbeaten off 30).
Though Pujara stuck around for some time, it was an opportunity lost for Mukund, who is competing for the opening slot with Dhawan.
Both Pujara and Mukund were bowled by left-arm pacer Vishwa Fernando.
Harmanpreet Kaur must be a busy woman. Not only did her unbeaten 171 play a pivotal role in India beating Australia to reach the ICC Women's World Cup final on Thursday, but the 28-year-old is busy replying to all the best wishes that's been pouring in since her stunning knock. However, one wish stands out among the thousands though - the one from her idol Virender Sehwag. It's no secret that Harmanpreet idolised Sehwag growing up and often bats like him, hitting maximums at ease.
After the former India opener wished Harmanpreet for her stunning knock in the semi-finals Adam Foote Womens Jersey deeming it 'an innings of a lifetime', the women's all-rounder took to social media to respond, "Thank you Idol,It was pleasure doing what you have been doing over the years."
In Sehwag's initial message, he had praised Harmanpreet's 'clean hitting' during her brilliant knock. Harmanpreet's massive 171 came off 115 balls. She had hit 20 boundaries and seven maximums during her knock. She had also scored her third ODI century.
Earlier Harmanpreet had written on her official Twitter handle that she was unable to respond to every wish http://www.officialcoloradoavalanche.com/Adidas-Andreas-Martinsen-Jersey individually but thanked everyone for the love and support. India will play hosts England in the final at Lord's on Sunday.
On the bowling front, it was a near perfect day for India ahead of the first Test beginning in Colombo on July 26.
Mohammed Shami worked up good pace up front to take a couple of wickets in five overs.
The pacers, who were tidy but went wicketless, were Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya.
Notably, India's premier spinner Ravichandran Ashwin went wicketless in 10 overs while Kuldeep and Jadeja troubled the batsmen.
Kuldeep has been impressive ever since he made his Test debut against Australia in March before making an impact in the limited-overs series in the West Indies.
The focus for India tomorrow will be to ensure the other batsmen get a go in the middle including Dhawan, who has made his way back to the Test team after a string of good performances in limited overs format.

  • Caddie’s choice words kick Rory McIlroyDateThu Jul 20, 2017 7:51 pm
Topic by pinkpink. Forum: Forum News

If Rory McIlroy’s best is as good as it gets, his worst is just about as ugly as it comes. On Thursday, the fans at Royal Birkdale saw a bit of both. On a hot day, with just enough breeze to ruffle the gorse, McIlroy’s game ran stone cold for nine holes. Wayward off the tee, uncertain around the greens, by the time he got off the 6th he was five over par, 10 shots off Jordan Spieth’s lead, and his chances of winning the Adidas Dave Taylor Authentic Jersey Open looked dead already.
Only, McIlroy kept at it, forcing the pieces of his game together like a kid puzzling out a jigsaw. He ground around the turn and then picked up four birdies in eight holes. That left him one over, six shots back. He had played his way into trouble and out of it again.
McIlroy has spoken before about his bad habit of blowing majors by throwing in two hours of bad golf. The topic often comes up at Augusta, since he has shot 40 or more over a nine-hole stretch in five of his past six Masters. Here, he covered the front http://www.authenticlosangeleskings.com/authentic-anze-kopitar-jersey nine in 39. It was not that he fell apart, more that he did not have it together to begin with. His game was off from the 1st onwards, where he skittered a chip off the green, clunked it back up to the fringe and then made a 15ft putt for his bogey, the first, if not the worst, of five in six holes. It was a sorry stretch of golf, as bad as he has played in a major in a long while.
At the 3rd, McIlroy took three putts after his first, over and around a mean little hillock, fetched up well short of the hole. At the 4th he had to splash out of a bunker and then missed a 10ft putt on the left. The 5th was another three-putt, the second of them a particularly egregious miss. And then, after zig-zagging his way around the 6th fairway, his par putt caught the back lip and rolled right back out again.
“I was thinking, geez, here we go,” McIlroy said. “Those thoughts ran through my mind.” By this point the crowd were not cheering him on so much as trying to offer him consolation.
So was McIIroy’s caddie, JP Fitzgerald. At the 6th Fitzgerald said: “You’re Rory McIlroy, what the fuck are you doing?” He was not the only one wondering. “Wake up Rory!” bellowed a fan over the desultory applause as McIlroy walked by. After the round, McIlroy said Fitzgerald’s question helped him snap back to life. “At that point I mumbled and said: ‘Whatever.’ But it did, it helped. It definitely helped. It kept me positive. He just sort of reminded me who I was and what I was capable of. And gave me a few positive thoughts.”
The problem, McIlroy said, was all mental. He was suffering from a combination of a lot of nerves and a lack of confidence. The round was shaping up to be the nadir of a rough year. “Transitional” is the phrase McIlroy has used. He has spent it tinkering with his clubs, trying to find a set he is happy with now that Nike has quit the manufacturing business, and struggling with a persistent rib injury, which flared up again just last month.
He has missed the cut in three of his past four events – the US Open, Irish Open and Scottish Open. His poor form, he said, had “got in my head” and left him with “just not as much belief in myself as I should have had”. But, with a little help from Fitzgerald, it started to come back to him.
McIlroy made a good up-and-down par at the 7th. Then at the 8th a Adidas Brandon Carlo Womens Jersey switch flicked. It happened when McIlroy hit his tee shot left into the gallery. The ball fetched up in the worst spot he found himself in all day, over the edge of a footpath, buried so deep the marshals were sure someone must have trodden on it. No such luck. McIlroy had to hack out into the rough but then made a 20ft putt to scramble par. “It was big,” he said. “There’s a big difference between five over par and six over.” He made his first birdie putt from six feet after a fine approach at the 11th and would have clawed back a couple more strokes at the 12th and 13th if a couple of putts had not slid just by.
By the time he came into the stretch, he had his mojo running. He made birdies at the 15th and 17th, and another at the 18th. That last got the loudest cheer of the day. The crowd here still think he can win. So does he. “I actually feel really positive,” he said. “With the way I finished, I feel really good about it. It’s a bit like the Ryder Cup at Medinah in 2012. We’re 10-6 down on Saturday night but we feel http://www.authenticbostonbruins.com/authentic-david-backes-jersey like we were right in with a chance, because we won the last two points.”
While McIlroy swayed this way and that, Johnson played steady. He finished one over too, with a solitary birdie at the 2nd and a couple of bogeys at the 7th and 14th. Their playing partner Charl Schwartzel outshone them both and finished in 66, four shots under and one shot off the lead.

The broader picture, of a curious run involving seven successive first-time major champions, is that golf would surely have benefited from this brilliant young Texan endorsing earlier flirtation with greatness by dominating his sport.
Shortly after 1pm on this, the opening round of the 146th Open Championship, Spieth sat atop the leaderboard once more. There are 54 holes to play yet it is hardly unnatural to fast forward to Sunday, to the death throes of this event, and the Adidas Anze Kopitar Authentic Jersey tantalising prospect of Spieth exorcising some Augusta demons. Or, dare one suggest it, otherwise. The 23-year-old has an itch to scratch in this major, too, having fallen just a shot outside a play-off position in the Open of 2015.
Spieth’s standards are high. His analysis of this Open start of 65 was therefore telling. “Everything was strong,” he said. “I give it a nine out of 10 across the board for everything: tee balls, ball-striking, short game and putting. So things are in check. It’s just about keeping it consistent.
“This round could be a lot more significant in three days’ time than I would http://www.authenticlosangeleskings.com/authentic-dave-taylor-jersey consider it right now. I’d call it a top five, probably, major round that I’ve played. There are scores that I’ve shot that were closer to par that were better given what I needed to do. But I couldn’t have done much better today.”
By the conclusion of day one, Spieth had been joined at five under par by his compatriots Brooks Koepka and Matt Kuchar. It would be unwise to discount Koepka in particular from this Open equation, given his terrific performance last month when claiming the US equivalent. It is hardly an insult to Koepka to suggest his obvious refusal to overanalyse – or even analyse – on the golf course carries huge benefit.
There were indications that Spieth may have been building towards Birkdale. In his last professional act before the Open, he holed out from a bunker to win the Travelers Championship. Spieth’s confidence was further endorsed by his decision to take a holiday thereafter. He landed on Merseyside not only refreshed but buoyed by the tangible reward his performances earlier in 2017 threatened rather than promised.
Spieth was wise enough to point out he probably had to make hay while the sun, literally, shone. Excellent conditions on Thursday, aside from an early morning spell during which a squall conjured memories of 2008 here, are likely to be offset by wind and rain throughout day two. “I thought today’s round was extremely important,” Spieth said. “Given the forecast coming in, I thought you really needed to be in the red today.”
Two moments of Spieth magic on Thursday stood out. A chip to within tap-in distance of the 10th hole from dense rough was sublime. Even better followed on the 16th, where the two-times major champion produced an outstanding effort from a downhill lie in a greenside Adidas Anders Lee Authentic Jersey bunker to again permit a par save.
Paul Casey’s 66 leaves him in a perfect position for a serious run at the major win that has thus far eluded him. Casey will celebrate his 40th birthday on the Open’s second day. The Englishman has that batch of first-time winners as a reference point should, and it seems unlikely, he require further incentive.
“The Open has never been the major I’ve fared the best at,” Casey said. “I seem to have struggled, apart from St Andrews in 2010. My results haven’t been good but I feel really good about this week.
“I don’t know why, maybe I’m more in love with links golf than I was before. Certainly this course helps, I really like this course. I’m not putting that much pressure on myself but very much wanting to win it.”
Ian Poulter, who could complete a golfing fairytale by progressing from final qualifying to the podium, signed for a 67. Justin Thomas sported a collar and tie for Thursday, the kind of move that would lead to ridicule if not http://www.authenticnewyorkislanders.com/authentic-andrew-ladd-jersey backed up by a proper showing. Thomas duly matched Poulter’s score, as did Richard Bland, Rafa Cabrera-Bello, Charley Hoffman and Austin Connelly.
Rory McIlroy was in a tailspin when five over par after only six holes. The Northern Irishman saved par from distance on the 8th in a moment that seemed to trigger an upturn in confidence. A 71 to start, in context, represented quite an achievement with McIlroy’s body language alone notably positive during post-round media duties. It would be folly to discount him from the tournament at this juncture. If McIlroy did not have the heart or the ability to contend, there was ample opportunity to throw in the towel.

There have been few more painful episodes in sport – including for viewers who retain even an ounce of compassion – than Spieth’s late capitulation at the 2016 Masters. For all the analysis and introspection that followed, one thing has been missing: Spieth placing himself Andrew McCutchen Authentic Jersey firmly in position to win another major championship. How would he handle it? Would glory matter more than previously? Did that Georgian affair irrevocably damage Spieth’s ability to close out on the big stage?
The broader picture, of a curious run involving seven successive first-time major champions, is that golf would surely have benefited from this brilliant young Texan endorsing earlier flirtation with greatness by dominating his sport.
Shortly after 1pm on this, the opening round of the 146th Open Championship, Spieth sat atop the leaderboard once more. There are 54 holes to play yet it is hardly unnatural to fast forward to Sunday, to the death throes of this event, and the tantalising prospect of Spieth exorcising some Augusta demons. Or, dare one suggest it, otherwise. The 23-year-old has an itch to scratch in this major, too, having fallen just a shot http://www.authenticpittsburghpirates.com/Barry-Bonds-Jersey outside a play-off position in the Open of 2015.
Spieth’s standards are high. His analysis of this Open start of 65 was therefore telling. “Everything was strong,” he said. “I give it a nine out of 10 across the board for everything: tee balls, ball-striking, short game and putting. So things are in check. It’s just about keeping it consistent.
“This round could be a lot more significant in three days’ time than I would consider it right now.
A chip to within tap-in distance of the 10th Bill Mazeroski Authentic Jersey hole from dense rough was sublime. Even better followed on the 16th, where the two-times major champion produced an outstanding effort from a downhill lie in a greenside bunker to again permit a par save.
Justin Thomas sported a collar and tie for Thursday, the kind of move that would lead to ridicule if not backed up by a proper http://www.authenticbostonbruins.com/authentic-david-backes-jersey showing.
If McIlroy did not have the Adidas Cam Neely Authentic Jersey heart or the ability to contend, there was ample opportunity to throw in the towel.
The problem for McIlroy, and others, is Spieth’s prominence. The sense of familiarity was, for once, a welcome one.

José Mourinho says Manchester United have acquired a top player in Romelu Lukaku but the manager admits the striker still has to prove himself at the highest level.
The Belgian was signed from Everton for £75m at the start of last week and scored his first goal Carlos Gonzalez Authentic Jersey for United in Tuesday’s 2-1 victory over Real Salt Lake. Lukaku has registered 85 times in the Premier League since 2012 – second only to Manchester City’s Sergio Agüero – but has never played in the Champions League, as he will next term.
Of Lukaku, Mourinho said: “We got a big player, a player that I can compare with what he was a few years ago, because he worked with me for a few months [at Chelsea] and his development was very good. We have a player who is now a top player. You have to prove it at the highest level, he has to do it for United, in Champions League matches, but he has amazing qualities.”
Mourinho had an interest in Real Madrid’s álvaro Morata but the striker is set to move to Chelsea for around £58m. “I’m not interested in what Chelsea FC does, really,” the Portuguese said. “Chelsea it was obvious they were going to sign a striker after the [unhappy] situation with the manager and striker [Diego Costa].”
Ideally Mourinho wants more new players, with Victor Lindelof, a central defender, his other fresh http://www.authenticcoloradorockies.com/Chad-Bettis-Jersey signing so far this close season. These would be an attacking player – probably Internazionale’s Ivan Peri?i?– and a defensive midfielder, Tottenham Hotspur’s Eric Dier or Chelsea’s Nemanja Mati?.
But the manager stated he would settle for one, with Peri?i? being the most likely. He pointed to the £45m initial fee paid by Manchester City to Spurs for Kyle Walker, a right-back, as an indication of how difficult the market is.
“The transfer fees don’t surprise me, really. I kept saying there is big economic power at every club. It allows clubs to say no. To say pay what I want or you don’t get it,” he said. “I can imagine City would like to pay £25 million for Kyle but they were told this is the price.
“The option is to pay or not. I am used to the club paying big amounts for big players. Now everybody pays big amounts for good players. There is a difference between good players and big players.
“The problem is we have four players that cannot play football now, not even training [the injured Marcus Rojo, Ashley Young, Luke Shaw and Ibrahimovi?, who is a free agent]. So it looks like our group is big but it is not and the time for their Andre Dawson Authentic Jersey recovery is really long. Marcos has no chance before December as an example, so our squad is not so big.
“Everybody knows because I told I would like four players and I’m ready to go from four to three because the market is difficult, some clubs think the market is different from others. We are not a club that is ready to pay what the clubs want us to pay so I’m ready to go from four to three.”
Mourinho stated that while Rashford can play alongside Lukaku he is not a playmaker. “I don’t think Marcus is a number 10, he’s a pure attacking player,” the manager said. “Not with that quality to play between the lines, and assist, I think he’s an attacking player who can play in a two or one, he can play anywhere and you demand a little bit more defensively, he can play with Lukaku http://www.authenticmiamimarlins.com/Dee-Gordon-Jersey after playing with Zlatan.”
Rashford is placing more pressure on himself to improve next term on last season’s 12 strikes. “This season I will put more pressure on myself to do so and more responsibility,” he said. “Last season was a different experience. I experienced things I hadn’t experienced the year before. It puts you in good stead for the future. It impacts you quite a lot how you recover from that. That’s what I was looking at. “
United face City at Houston’s NRG Stadium on Thursday night in the first Manchester derby staged overseas. Yet Mourinho played the fixture down. “It’s nice for US and US fans, it’s very good for the event that deserves everything from us because of the phenomenal preparations, I think it’s very good for both clubs and there is always a little bit of rivalry, a bit of an extra ingredient,” he said. “But for me it’s a friendly, I’m not going to jump to celebrate a goal, or cry if we concede, it’s preparation for me, European Super Cup is a match, West Ham is a match.
“But we feel a responsibility to the American people who love soccer and United fans and we couldn’t play City in China but here the conditions are phenomenal, the organisation is phenomenal.”

  • Sonny Gray? Marco Estrada?DateWed Jul 19, 2017 6:27 pm

The Yankees will continue to monitor the trade market between now and July 31. But there is a strong likelihood their most significant deal came 12 days before the deadline, when they obtained Todd Frazier, Tommy Kahnle and David Robertson from the White Sox.
Their strongest need has been a starter, and they were on Jose Quintana for months. They believed right until he went to the Cubs that they had a strong enough offer to land the lefty. They were willing to part with Blake Rutherford and other top prospects to Alex Galchenyuk Authentic Jersey make it happen because they viewed him as a top-of-the-rotation starter with durability under a team-friendly contract through 2020.
The durability is key. The Yankees like Sonny Gray, but not as much as Quintana, to some large degree because they – and the industry, really – worry about Gray’s sturdiness. I have not sensed the Yankees are willing to part with near the prospect package for Gray that they would have for Quintana, and if that is the case, the righty is more likely to go elsewhere.
And, at this moment, there is not another starter who fits the Yankees’ parameters clearly [url]http://www.authenticcanadiensonline.com/Authentic-Alexander-Radulov-Jersey[/url] available in this market: top of the rotation with controllable years beyond 2017 to address that Michael Pineda (lost anyway to Tommy John surgery), CC Sabathia and Masahiro Tanaka all could be free agents after this season.
The Yanks could look for a stopgap type – think Atlanta’s Jaime Garcia or San Diego’s Trevor Cahill or Toronto’s Marco Estrada, all of whom are in their walk year – if they think the price is right and prefer that to just churning through unproven types such as Luis Cessa, Bryan Mitchell, Caleb Smith, Chance Adams and perhaps Chad Green.
But once Quintana slipped away, the Yankees pivoted to fortify the pen with Kahnle and Robertson as a way to ease the burden on the rotation. Remember, in just more than a month rosters can expand, and the Yankees almost certainly will flood Barry Church Authentic Jersey their roster with arms. Starters may just be asked to navigate a lineup once – the Yankees September pace of play might really be something.
Beyond a starter, the Yankees also will keep an eye out for a lefty reliever and a lefty-swinging first base possibility – but they do not appear to have urgency in those areas.
As part of the roster moves to clear 25-man roster space for the new additions, the Yankees demoted Chasen Shreve, their lone lefty setup man (Smith is around as a long man and Aroldis Chapman to close). But lefties are hitting .138 with a .413 OPS vs. Robertson, .115 with a .404 OPS vs. Betances, .103 with a .391 OPS vs. Green and .192 with a .489 OPS vs. Adam Warren. Thus, the Yankees do not feel compelled to force a left-on-left reliever into the pen.
The Yankees looked in on Sean Doolittle, but if they were worried about Gray’s health, there was a much higher multiple of that with Doolittle. Several executives theorized to me that Oakland moved Doolittle well before the http://www.nikecowboysjerseys.com/anthony-hitchens-jersey-for-sale-c-25.html deadline (to the Nationals) because of worry about his potential to break down at any point.
For now, the sticker prices for top-end lefties such as Zach Britton, Brad Hand and Justin Wilson do not motivate the Yankees.
As for first base, Joe Girardi said Frazier is his third baseman, which means Chase Headley (vs. righties) and Garrett Cooper (vs. lefties) will be a first base platoon. That leaves the Yankees open to find something better, but not something they seem eager to spend big on. For there remains a chance that Greg Bird could still be a factor in September. The Yanks have said he needs six weeks after having the the os trigonum bone removed from his ankle.
But Geovany Soto, a catcher, had the same bone removed in 2013 and was back playing in 16 days. Joey Gallo also had the procedure done and was back playing in three weeks. Yankees GM Brian Cashman said he was “aware that others have been quicker,” but that for Bird “the bone removal was larger than most.”
My gut says for now Frazier plays first against righties and third against lefties with Garrett Cooper at first and Chase Headley (.534 OPS vs. southpaws) going to the bench, and that the Yankees will see if there is someone who can provide an upgrade in one of these places. But with a desire to protect the best of his farm system, Cashman does not seem to be nearly as motivated as he was with securing Frazier, Kahnle and Robertson.

  • Resolving Pay Dispute: Matthew HaydenDateTue Jul 18, 2017 10:01 pm

Legend Matthew Hayden said India tour is a premium Test event in their cricket culture and it is important to quickly resolve the pay dispute as there is a lot at stake. "I think it will get resolved. but I am not sure how it will get resolved. That is because Tigers Womens Jersey there have been mediation efforts and that have not been accepted," Hayden told PTI. "Plans have been laid out pretty substantially. There has to be a meeting of the minds. And, it has to happen quickly. We have a tour of India coming up as well. It is very important part of meeting the ICC future tours programme.
"There is a lot at stake. Not to mention of the Ashes. (Matches against) India and the Ashes are the premium test match events in the Australian cricket culture. There is so much to lose by not resolving the issues."
Talking about Test cricket, Hayden said the longer format of the game can never be replaced and it is important how the administrators and ICC balance it with the other formats.
"I have heard arguments that Twenty-20 cricket is always going to be a problem. T20 cricket is a solution. Test cricket is also a solution, to a different audience. You will never ever get Test match cricket replaced. But, the administrators and International Cricket http://www.authentictigershop.com/authentic-6-al-kaline-jersey.html Council (ICC) in particular have to acknowledge the changing face of Test cricket.
"To have 14 test matches in a domestic summer in India is going to have effects on the fan base of cricket. No questions. Then you add on the other layers, of one-dayers and T20 international(s). Something got to give.
"I don't believe that the ICC is addressing the future tours programme as it could be to acknowledge the importance of T20 cricket, but also at the end of the stick acknowledge every stakeholder in the game loves Test cricket. How do you balance that programme, is important.
"You have to be careful about branding of Test match cricket. This is what I think Ben Simmons Youth Jersey Australia and England have done particularly well, and South Africa, to a degree. They have protected the tradition of the game. Test match cricket is our blue chip property. There has to be a careful balance between T20 and One-day cricket," said Hayden, who is here as a commentator for the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL).
Asked to compare the styles of India captain Virat Kohli and Australian skipper Steven Smith, Hayden, who played for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, said, "I don't think it can be done. They are very different personalities. I will say Virat is part of the modern face of India.
"A bold personality. He is a resilient personality as well and is prepared to take a stand. His natural game as is Smith's natural game are almost similar. They are incredibly skilled and are the best players in their respective teams.
"They have a very different style of captaincy. One is a little here, kind of, while Smith is slightly laid back. Both have got extremely strong personalities."
On CSK's return to the IPL fold in 2018, the Australian said, "I don't think you can get a bigger fan of CSK than Hayden. I really missed CSK in the last two years. I was very disappointed that they were not there in the last two editions of IPL.
"The team's success has been incredible and their fan base is massive. Importantly, it has been http://www.official76erstore.com/ primarily focused on the key asset, cricket."
About Pakistan's triumph in the recent Champions Trophy in England, he said, "Pakistan is such an enigma. I would have lost my life's savings on Pakistan if I had said they would win the Champions Trophy and that too over India!
"They're such a dangerous side and they're fantastic front-runners. That was a perfect set-up for them, get a big score in a big match and get India to chase it down. It had to be a perfect run-chase for India to win.
"I can't help but think for a tournament I don't believe in, it is such an unnecessary ICC tournament. But I couldn't help but think if you're going to play it, at least the right number of people are going to watch it when Pakistan and India play together.
"So I was pleased for the tournament from a marketing point of view. Had it have been Australia vs New Zealand, no one would have cared less," he added.
